Hello

Meet Lacy Davis! She is the owner of Patterns of Hope. Lacy has a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Psychology, as well as a minor in Sociology and Elementary Education. Lacy also completed the postgraduate program at the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology (INPP). With over 25 years' experience working with children and families, most of her career has been dedicated to helping children with educational struggles.

My Story

My husband and I personally understand your struggles. When our first son was three years old, we were advised to seek support for his speech delay. Little did we know, this was just the beginning. Over the past ten years, he has received services for reading, writing, and nearly every other academic area. He has also received services in occupational, speech, and physical therapy. We also seriously considered having him tested for Autism.

Our second child fell into the same pattern. He needed help with his speech, academic struggles, dyslexic tendencies, and hyperactivity. We enrolled both of our children in early intervention programs, IEP (Individualized Education Plan), extra reading support, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and any extracurricular activities that we believed would benefit our struggling children.

In our reevaluation IEP meeting, we always asked if there was anything else we could be doing or any additional services we could take advantage of. The answer was always no—we were doing as much as we could. At one IEP meeting, we were told, “we needed to lower our expectations of our children.” This phrase still haunts us to this day!

Shortly after that statement, we decided to try something new and began homeschooling. My husband and I knew our children were intelligent—maybe they just needed to be taught differently? While homeschooling helped, their struggles remained a major concern! We were running out of hope, and once again we found ourselves searching for answers, even considering autism testing. However, we were never in favor of labeling our children and had no plans to medicate them. We knew that there had to be something more we could do!

Finally, the answer we had been searching for came! A friend asked if we had ever heard of Neuro-Developmental Delay (NDD)? I began researching NDD and quickly realized this was unlike anything else we had tried before—in the best way! The first screening questionnaire that I filled out described my children perfectly! I immediately found a therapist, and from our very first visit, I knew this was the answer we were looking for.

I knew I had to share this therapy with other families who needed it.

The transformation in our children is nothing short of a miracle! I've witnessed major improvements in balance and coordination, memory, language, maturity, and academic performance. I am SO glad I didn’t “lower my expectations of my children”!

At Patterns of Hope, I am now seeing the same incredible results with the children I work with. Neuro-Developmental Delay affects the whole family, and our goal is to renew HOPE for you and provide the support your child needs for a successful future!

NDD (Neuro-Developmental Delay) Therapy brought renewed hope to my family by alleviating my children’s struggles. Now, my mission is to share this hope with other families.

"The best feeling in the world is finally knowing you took a step in the right direction—a step toward the future where everything that you never thought was possible is possible!"
